Hot Hot Hot!

Hi, all.  Just got into Mozambique yesterday.  I am currently in Beira until tomorrow and then am off to Chimoio in the morning.  It has already been a long journey.  One thing I can tell you, it is HOT, HOT, HOT, here.  I am here at the VIP hotel where the internet connect is pretty good, plus it is FREE!  In South Africa you have to pay $10 for a sixty minute connection (ouch).

From Basketballs to Adrenaline

Pastor Mark here. James Baker is on his way. Here’s the first email I received. And as usual, James is building a trail of new relationships as he skips from one continent to the next. And as usual, James is watching out for others.

The flight from Dakar was intense.  I will have to tell you about the large person that sat next to me that literally could not sit fully in the seat.  Too bizarre in the end, as is accustomed with me, I got him a more comfortable seat with leg room.  He is some governmental office and he gave me his business card – and well as the person next to him who is a general in the Senegalize Army.  By the way, two of his wives were on the plane, but did not sit with him.  Go figure.

Oh, also, Mark, THANK YOU for the send off.  I no longer longer have the basketball game going on in my stomach (e.g., stress).  I think from the time “wheels up” in Dullas, it shifted to pure excitement and adrenaline.

Peace, love, and hugs.  James.

Baker is on his way to Africa!

Hi all.  Well tomorrow morning is when I hop on a plane to Mozambique via South Africa!

I am nervouse, anxious, and excited all in one.  It was amazing to realize how much “stuff” I had and having to choose what I put into TWO, yes TWO suitcases for a ten month journey.

Lift me up, and pray that I can assist those to whom I am going over to serve!  Stay tuned, pass this onto your friends and we will go through this journey together.

Peace and blessings, james.
